Burman University (Canadian University College) Excellence in Teaching Award, 2008-2009
Avid trombonist, play (or have played) lead trombone in the Burman University (CUC) Chamber Orchestra, Flat Iron Jazz, Ritchie Trombone Choir, Silverwinds Band, The Brass Nerds (our own family quartet: 2 trumpets, horn, trombone)
Athletics: Nationally ranked athlete in the US in the 1970s, 11th fastest in the Marathon (2:20:10.7), Olympic Trials finalist, U. S. National Championship MVP (30K, 1975)
Athletics: Coach track and cross country (high school and collegiate level). Coached RDC’s Jodi Sanguin to a CCAA (Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association) Cross Country National Championship gold medal, Kamloops, BC, 2011; and membership on the Canadian Senior International Cross Country Championship squad (2014).
Have conducted over 100 seminars with my wife (Elizabeth George) on the area of marital compatibility in three countries (Canada, US, Jamaica).
