Borrowing Items

Borrowing Books from Burman

Books, CDs, and DVDs may be borrowed for 2 weeks and renewed four times. However, if there is a hold on the item, you will not be allowed to renew your item and must return it to the library.

You must bring your Student ID card to check out materials.

NEOS Catalogue

Burman is part of the NEOS library system that allows you to access over 5 million items from 18 libraries in Central and northern Alberta. Holds can be placed through WorldCat Local and books will arrive within 3 - 5 days. You will receive an email telling you that your item has arrived, and you have 5 days to pick it up.

Other Libraries

If you are searching for books from outside of the NEOS system, you may ask the librarians for assistance (email sclark@burmanu.ca) or place a hold on it through www.talonline.ca.
