For Students
Ask a Librarian
Remember that librarians are here to help you. Whether you need help focusing a research topic, selecting appropriate sources for your information needs, or ensuring that you're on the right track with the research you've done, librarians can answer most questions you may have regarding finding, retrieving, and using information.
A professional librarian is usually available during the following hours:
Monday: Thursday: 8:30am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 5:30pm.
Friday: 8:30 am - 12:00pm
Librarians are also available by appointment. Email sclark@burmanu.ca or darelbennedbaek@burmanu.ca, or telephone 403-782-3381 ext. 4102.
Photocopying/Scanning and Printing
Black and white photocopying and printing is free for students - just ask for the code at the circulation desk.
Colour printing is 50 cents per page.
Ask for help if you need to scan a document. Scanned documents can be emailed to any address or scanned onto a flash drive.
Group Study Space
While the library is a place for collaborative learning, there is a group study room downstairs that can be booked for up to 3 hours. Ask about reserving the group study room at the front desk.
Reserves
These are held at the library's front desk, usually under your professor's name.
