At our annual Burman University Alumni & Community Golf Classic, Daryl Hanson got a hole-in-one at hole 3 just three minutes after the shotgun start. Daryl Hanson is the owner of the Good Water Company, a company that has provided water for golfers over the years. His shot won him the $10,000 prize sponsored by Sims and Associates Insurance Services of Lacombe. Mr. Sims presented Hanson with the cheque on Friday, June 9, 2017.
Other hole-in-one sponsors for the event were Lacombe Ford Sales (Mustang), Leto's Steak & Seafood House ($10,000), and The Cooperators Advantage Insurance Group (2006) Inc. ($10,000).
The Burman University Alumni & Community Golf Classic is an event that is part of the university's annual Alumni Homecoming Weekend. The event raises money for the university's athletic scholarships that are granted to deserving students, as well as for the Lacombe Athletic Park.
