Transfer Music Scholarship

This renewable award recognizes musical excellence, achievement, and participation in the Burman music program. Award amounts are $1,250 for the first year of participation. The award may be received and renewed for up to three academic years for a four year degree. Award amounts can increase each subsequent year up to a maximum of $2,000 based on skill, commitment, and a recommendation from a Burman music director.
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- Have initial admission into Burman University and be a first time student.
- Complete the application in your incoming year prior to the deadline.
- Register for and complete 12 academic credits each term.
- Tryout for and participate with an official on-campus music organization for both the fall and winter semesters with verification from the music director. Some official Burman University music organizations include Choir, Ubuntu, Band, and Orchestra.
- The number of credits transferred and length of degree will determine the number of years the award is available for renewal.
