Dr. Loren Agrey
President, Burman University
Dr. Agrey’s first sojourn at College Heights began in 1978 when he came to the high school division of Canadian Union College to begin his grade 11 year. When he graduated from high school in 1980, he began coursework at CUC to become a teacher. He went on to teach at Saskatoon Junior Academy, Chinook Winds Academy and Parkview Adventist Academy and then served as principal at Deer Lake Seventh-day Adventist School. Between 2002 and 2005, Loren taught at CUC and also served as Associate in Academic Administration. In 2005, he not only became Vice President for Academic Administration but also attained his PhD from the University of Alberta. In 2010, Loren was asked to serve as President of Asia-Pacific International University in Thailand. Five years later, in order to be closer to family, he moved to Kettering College in Dayton, OH, to serve as Dean for Undergraduate Academic Affairs. In 2017, he returned to the Burman University campus to serve as the 25 the president. His vision for Burman University focuses on growth, excellence, advancement and student success. Loren and his wife, Shelley (McCann) have been married for 37 years. They have four grown children; Jen (Matt), Auralei (Ryan), Ryan (Allanah), and Regan (Raquel). They have also been blessed with three grandchildren; Elise, Eliana, and Ashton.

Dr. Gary Hodder
President, Seventh-day Adventist Church in Alberta
For the past four years, Gary has served as the President of the Alberta Conference. He graduated from CUC (Burman University) and Andrews University. Born and raised in Newfoundland, Gary served a total of fifteen years in that Province - as Pastor of the St. John’s Church and President of the Newfoundland Mission. In Ontario, he served as College Park Senior Pastor and Secretary of the Conference.
In addition to his current role as President, Gary has pastored in the Alberta Conference at Edmonton Central, Sylvan Lake & Rocky Mountain House, and Medicine Hat. He is married to Almyra, and they have five wonderful children – Shawn, Natasha, Joshua, Tyson, and Stephanie. Hobbies include woodworking, ATV’ing, and Investing. Gary enjoys his ministry and considers it a privilege to be in God’s service ministering to His people.
