Accessibility? Both change rooms are wheelchair accessible and there is a single unit handicapped/family change room. Our swimming pool also has a chairlift to help those in need so everyone has an opportunity to enjoy the water. The Burman University Aquatic Centre has been around for more than 42 years. We feature a 5-lane, 25-meter main pool with a depth from 1.1 to 3 meters. We keep the pool at a comfortable 29-29.9°C.
Programs? We have several programs for the young and the young at heart. We offer Red Cross Swim Preschool, Red Cross Swim Kid & Adult Lessons. If you are looking for fitness we offer Aquacize three times per week + lane swimming 10 times per week. We offer Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, Aquatic Emergency Care, O2 Administration National Lifeguard Service, Assistant Water Safety Instructor, and Water Safety Instructor for swimmers wanting Advanced courses.
Public Swims? Everyone is welcome! We have recreational swims 6 days a week. Note: Children under 9 years old must be supervised in the water within arm's reach by a responsible person.
Competitive Swim Club? We are home to the Lacombe Dolphins. We are a Summer club and run from the first of May to the middle of August.
The Pool is also available for birthday parties, rentals, and private lessons.
