Through biblical exegesis, we will unveil how God's intentional creation of diversity is a cornerstone of our faith.

This highly interactive session, led by Mrs. Dorothy Pang, will explore intercultural competence and foster self-awareness of your cultural lens and its potential impact on cross-cultural interactions. We value your active participation and engagement in this developmental process for growing in intercultural competency.

- Session 3: Practical Strategies for Intercultural Ministry - Lyle Notice
This session, led by Dr. Lyle Notice, will examine a biblical model for intercultural small groups and provide practical, actionable steps for creating intercultural ministry within the local church. You will leave this session with the tools to make a real difference in your ministry.

Keynote Speakers
Lyle Notice has a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degree in Urban Ministry from Andrews University. His current research is a Doctoral of Philosophy (PhD) program in the Sociology of Religion, focusing on Church and Society and Practical Theology. It focuses on how Intercultural Small Groups can positively impact race relations within the church. Lyle also loves writing and research and recently published a paper entitled "Hanging Out on The Block(chain): Decentralized Autonomous Organizations for Small Groups and Faith Communities." From 2015 to 2023, he served as the Youth Director of the Alberta Conference, where he worked with adventures, pathfinders, urban ministry, community outreach, mission trips, disaster response, and media ministry. He loves youth culture, skateboarding, fashion, social media, entrepreneurship, Venture Capital investing and Cryptocurrency." |
Dorothy Pang brings 25 years of experience in law, business, and executive leadership to the TIM (Tyndale University Intercultural Ministry) Centre team. She is passionate about creating collaborative environments where diverse teams can thrive, and organizational health is optimized. She holds a Certificate in Intercultural Studies from UBC. She is a qualified Intercultural Development Inventory (ID) administrator and a certified facilitator of the Intercultural Conflict Styles (ICS) assessment. Dorothy is a dynamic facilitator and public speaker. For ten years, Dorothy was an executive leader in a large intercultural church in northeast Toronto. She is passionate about helping churches embrace the Rev 7:9 church –where all are wholly seen, accepted, and understood. Dorothy is married and lives in Canada. When she’s not working, she enjoys exploring the city's multiethnic tastes and sounds. |
