Association of Adventist Colleges & Universities
I had the privilege to attend the Association of Adventist Colleges and Universities (AACU) Board and Constituency meetings along with an AACU Mission Conference during the past few days. Hosted at Loma Linda University, the Mission Conference focused on topics foundational to Adventist Higher Education. They included presentations on the Adventist Worldview and Curricular Integration, Understanding the Challenges of Secular Worldviews to Adventist Education, Service, and Discipleship as a Way of Knowing, among other pertinent topics. The presentations were very good and provided stimulating discussion. We now can use these conversations to inform our practices going forward.
AACU BOARD
The AACU Board also met this past Monday and Tuesday and discussed important items such as improving the AAA accreditation process by removing redundancies and making it more streamlined. A variety of other topics were also discussed with the intent of improving Adventist Higher Education across the North American Division.
