Research Funding

Congratulations to Dr. Delano Lewis for his successful application for external research funding. He studies butterflies, and the Alberta Conservation Association has granted him $36,000 for his research based at the Ellis Bird Farm. This type of external funding is what we would like to continue to access as we continue to build our research profile.

Research Conference

The student and faculty research conference went very well. The interest and quality of the students’ research continue to grow. If you did not have a chance to attend the conference on the scheduled day, you can still peruse the library and review the posters that are placed around the main floor's outer walls. Congratulations to the winners in all categories, and a big thank you to the faculty who supported their students in developing a great research poster or presentation. The names of all winners were shared yesterday via email from Dr. Donkors office, so please check out the students who won and congratulate any who may be in your classes. We anticipate that this conference will grow over the next few years, providing a great venue for students to share their research.
